: his proposed project will be the second phase which is the continuation of the first phase for the Fernandina Beach Riverfront Resiliency Project just south of the boat ramp. The proposed project will consist of 2 phases. The first phase is the demolition of Brett's Waterway Cafe and the dredging of the debris, a new pier is to be constructed to be more in alignment with Center Street with a single entrance to the marina, and improve site views, while the construction of the new pier is occurring the existing pier will be demolished. Also the proposed project will consist of a new concrete bulkhead and wooden boardwalk constructed over the water to replace the existing boardwalk, and failing bulkhead under Brett's. The new bulkhead appearance and finish to match phase one of the Fernandina Beach Riverfront Resiliency Project which will be a concrete coquina finish with recess amber lighting that is Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission approved. The new pier location will improve main access from Historic Center Street and improve sight lines from Front Street to the Amelia Waterway and the marina. The removal of existing piles including debris that have collapsed in water under Brett's, will overall improve waterway flow. The proposed materials for the pier will be a hybrid system in design and will consist of composite piles (allows for better waterflow and resiliency), pressure treated heavy timber beams and joists, with composite decking (resiliency minimizes the need to replacing decking Annually). The pier railing will be a copy of phase 1, which consists of pressure treated wood guard rails with stainless steel cable infill. Note the pier railings will also include lighting to match recessed lighting used in phase 1 with amber lights, that is Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission approved. The proposed materials for the boardwalk will be a hybrid system in design and will consist of composite piles (allows for better waterflow and resiliency), pressure treated heavy timber beams and joists, with composite decking (resiliency minimizes the need to replacing decking Annually). The pier railing will be a copy of phase 1, which consists of pressure treated wood guard rails with stainless steel cable infill. The existing structures that Brett's Waterway Cafe was built on were once of a historic nature. Numerous reports on the structural integrity have been completed and submitted over the years, addressing concerns regarding life safety. This included a detail analysis of the structure and the state of

: Build approximately 631 feet of resiliency wall along the west side of South Front Street, connecting into the resiliency system previously built at Lots C&D. The proposed resiliency system is a steel sheet pile wall with a reinforced concrete cap. The project also includes relocation of the existing watermain conflicting with the proposed wall alignment. The wall has been located to avoid any impacts to wetlands, sovereign submerged lands, and is located entirely on City owned property. Prior to building of the proposed resiliency wall, the overhead utility lines will be undergrounded.
