Comments:

The house is designed to fit seamlessly into the traditional character of Old Town. It uses traditional proportions, modulated forms rather than oversized massing, and has exposed rafter tails, lap siding, a metal roof and unique railing details. The size, mass, scale, roof form, and general detailing are compatible with the surrounding Old Town neighborhood. The two story form with the wrapping porch holds the corner well, and the screened porch on the side is designed to specifically accentuate the mid-lot visibility corridor. The declining massing of the main house from front to back also addresses the mid-lot visibility corridor.
